Alabama Freethought is generously allowing us to use their facility to host a Camp out/ Bonfire. Anyone who wishes will able to camp out Friday, Saturday or both nights at the Lake Hypatia Campground. There is A $5.00 camp fee per camp site which will be donated to the Freedom From Religion Foundation. The fee will cover both Friday and Saturday night for those who wish to camp two nights. There are showers and bathrooms available on site.

Saturday evening beginning around 4:00pm we will have the grill going. You will be responsible for bringing anything you wish grilled other than hot dogs. We will be grilling at the pavilion feel free to bring your own beer or wine, and don't forget your fishing pole.

Saturday night when it gets dark we will start the bonfire. Of course there will be Marsh mallow roasting as well as tons of music. Anyone who has an awesome playlist bring your MP3 player and we will check it out. We will be showing a movie provided we can get the necessary equipment. We are open to suggestions, however, I think we will be showing Religulous.

Camping is not a requirement. You are welcome to come on Saturday, and leave at any time.

I personally have a lot of camping experience, and am willing to help anyone in need. I will be available all weekend to answer quesions, setup tents, fix things, etc. For those of you who don't camp often I will be happy to e mail you a camping checklist.

If you have any special needs contact me and we may be able to facilitate you.

This is a family friendly event so bring the kids. Werther you come for the weekend to enjoy the beauty of the Lake and surrounding area or you just come on Saturday night you are sure to have a great time.

This is going to be about getting as many Freethinkers having fun together as possible. There are going to be people from many groups attending and I would love to see all of our Alabama Freethinkers there. It's rumored there may even be some from Georgia as well.
